If any band embodies the disco-pop revolution of the mid-70s, it’s ABBA. Formed in 1972 in Stockholm, it wasn’t until the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 that ABBA came crashing onto the music scene.
Over the next eight years, ABBA was an unstoppable force in the charts, with songs such as Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) becoming instant dance-floor classics.
However, fame created tensions in the band, leading the two couples’ marriages to break down. For fans, this also gave rise to some of their most poignant songs, including Knowing Me, Knowing You and The Winner Takes It All.
Our selection of ABBA posters holds images from every stage in their career. Whether you’re looking for the pop-innocence of their early days or the disco glam of their legendary 1979 Wembley concert, browse our extensive collection of ABBA images to find your favourite.
